Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 70, 1970) is an American former tight end in the NFL. Gonzalez played in the National Football League from 1997 through 2003. He is one of football's best tight ends, Anthony David Gonzalez is also the NFL leader of receiving yards for tight ends, and third overall in receptions.
Former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as a FOX Sports Studio analyst. Gonzalez has appeared in FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's one-hour NFL pregame broadcast prior to FOX NFL the SUNRISE) that airs every Sunday at 11:00AM ET through the NFL season.
Gonzalez has signed a contract extension to Atlanta Falcons with a two-year term and $14 million on March 15, 2013. This was despite the fact that Gonzalez was claiming he would like to retire at the end of football season of 2013. Randy Moss retired in 2013 as did Gonzalez aged 37 when he left, spent the last year of his professional career as the NFL most prolific receiver of yards.
